The Non-Financial Risk Technology organization provides IT support to the Morgan Stanley Non-Financial Risk division. The Fraud Technology team is responsible for designing developing and maintaining applications which helps the firm identify and prevent potential fraudulent transactions. We also provide technology expertise to our fraud analysts within Fraud Business team.
The ideal candidate should have the skills listed below but in addition should be a self-driven dedicated individual who works well in a team and thinks and acts addition the candidate should respond well to change and quickly pick up new concepts in an ever moving regulatory landscape. When faced with a problem the candidate should be able to ask questions and leverage the skill set of those around him/her. Daily responsibilities include transforming high level business objectives into detailed processes & requirements attending scrum meetings reporting on project status KPIs and KRIs and learning our in-house frameworks and best practices
A strong technical business analyst is needed to engage with Fraud Business partners to understand expand document and interpret Fraud requirements for Fraud Tech technical delivery squads. This candidate will act as a Technology Business Analyst subject matter expert on the project and manage the agile delivery of various projects. Strong client stakeholder skills will be paired with strong knowledge of business and understanding of technology in order to successfully execute this work.
What youll do in the role:
Partner with the business to help translate high-level business requirements into detailed functional testable specifications.
Work as a liaison between business unit and delivery team in all phases of development from product definition to deployment
Perform feasibility analysis scope projects prioritize deliverables recommend alternative solutions project strategies and engage in negotiations
Act as an SME to business and work closely with them to provide understanding of data and platform
Understand and articulate the technology vision and strategy
Ensure that technology solution is successfully aligned with the business goals and priorities
Define and implement operational processes
Establish high mid and micro level plans and estimates for project teams
Oversee BDD validation that can be used to streamline QA and UAT processes
Maintain a strong understanding of industry and enterprise-wide trends
What youll bring to the role:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field OR Bachelors degree in a business/finance related field with technical experience
Strong financial industry experience
Strong SQL and Data Analysis knowledge
Good experience on Agile SDLC processes
At least 5 years of experience with Data & Analytics related projects
Relevant and substantial work experience with business requirements definition and management (end to end) structured analysis process design and use case documentation
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Strong communication skills both verbal and written
Effective collaborator across a variety of IT and Business groups regions roles and levels
Ability to influence decisions/mindsets
Skill Desired:
Fraud domain experience is highly preferred
High quality architecture and design methodologies knowledge
Work experience as level-3 support for applications

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $150000 and $210000 per year at the commencement of employment. However base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package which depending on the position may also include commission earnings incentive compensation discretionary bonuses other short and long-term incentive packages and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
