Job Summary
General Labourer
Summary
We are seeking motivated and hardworking General Labourers to support our employer partners across the Canterbury region. As a General Labourer you will play a vital role in maintaining productivity and safety on worksites assisting skilled trades teams and operational staff with a wide range of physical and practical tasks.
Responsibilities

Assist in loading unloading and transporting materials.
Carry out general site cleaning preparation and maintenance.
Operate basic tools equipment and machinery under supervision.
Follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE).
Support tradespeople and site supervisors with daily operational tasks.
Report hazards incidents or equipment issues immediately.
Maintain good communication with team members and supervisors.
Requirements
No formal qualification required; trade training or site safety certificates advantageous.
3 years of experience in construction manufacturing or site labouring preferred.
Physically fit and capable of handling manual labour tasks.
English Certificate (PTE / IELTS) is mandatory.
Strong work ethic and reliability.
Ability to work in a team and follow instructions.
Basic understanding of workplace safety requirements.
Good communication and time-management skills.
No formal qualification required; trade training or site safety certificates advantageous. 3+ years of experience in construction, manufacturing, or site labouring preferred. Physically fit and capable of handling manual labour tasks. English Certificate (PTE / IELTS) is mandatory.
