Position Summary
Seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Employment Law Solicitor to deliver specialized advice on both contentious (such as employment disputes and tribunals) and non-contentious (including advisory compliance and transactional) matters for a diverse commercial client base. This role is well-suited to legal professionals who excel in dynamic client-driven environments and enjoy managing a broad cross-section of business clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on wide-ranging employment law issues including conduct absence discrimination TUPE redundancy and settlement agreements.
- Deliver practical commercially relevant advice through calls and written communication.
- Handle a mixed caseload managing both dispute resolution and advisory work (such as contract review and policy creation).
- Collaborate with HR teams management and business stakeholders to offer effective legal solutions.
- Remain informed of the latest developments in employment law sharing best practices with clients and colleagues.
- Maintain accurate detailed case management and client records.
- Consistently manage advisory duties while ensuring the delivery of exceptional service to clients.
Requirements
- UK-qualified solicitor with 2 4 years post-qualification experience in employment law.
- Proven expertise in contentious (tribunal/litigation) and non-contentious (advisory/compliance) employment law.
- Adept at handling demanding caseloads and meeting deadlines reliably.
- Excellent communicator skilled at building and sustaining client relationships.
- Practical problem solver with strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
- Up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation and HR practices in the UK.
- Able to work independently and thrive as part of a team.
- Based in or willing to relocate to Manchester.
