The Opportunity
The Associate Manager Youth Programs (STEM Leaders: Launch & Connect Alumni) is a collaborative and detail-oriented role responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality experiential STEM programming for senior high school youth and young alumni.
- The Launch program (Grades 1012) supports youth as they explore STEM careers develop leadership and career readiness skills and prepare for postsecondary pathways through mentorship job shadowing and paid internships.
- The Connect Alumni program (ages 1824) ensures continuity of support beyond high school equipping alumni with resources mentorship career panels and networking opportunities to thrive in postsecondary studies and transition successfully into STEM fields.
Reporting to the Sr. Manager Youth Programs the Associate Manager oversees planning and delivery for both Launch and Connect supervises a team of facilitators and coordinators manages logistics and maintains strong relationships with partners caregivers and alumni. This is a hands-on role with an emphasis on consistent high-quality experiences that align with organizational priorities and long-term outcomes.

- Job Location(s): Toronto-based. Hybrid model with occasional in-office work (71 Regent Park Boulevard) and remote work as applicable.
- Salary: The starting salary for this position is set at $60000 per year with opportunities for growth based on performance and organizational advancement.

Key Responsibilities
Program Coordination & Delivery
- Plan coordinate and deliver Launch programming (Grades 1012) including workshops mentorship activities job shadowing and internships.
- Oversee the Connect Alumni program including postsecondary workshops seasonal gatherings career panels mentorship activities and networking socials.
- Curate meaningful career exposure academic readiness and personal development opportunities that prepare youth and alumni for long-term success.
- Adapt program content to meet the unique needs of both high school students and young alumni.
Team Support & Facilitation
- Supervise and support facilitators and coordinators in delivering youth-centered programming.
- Provide mentorship training and coaching to program staff.
- Foster a positive inclusive and supportive environment for youth and alumni.
Partnerships Caregiver and Alumni Engagement
- Build and maintain relationships with employers postsecondary institutions and community partners to secure internships mentorship and career panels.
- Communicate with caregivers to share Launch updates and celebrate youth progress.
- Collaborate with alumni partners and internal teams to expand opportunities for Connect participants.
Program Administration & Monitoring
- Maintain accurate attendance placement and engagement records in CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce).
- Track and analyze program outcomes including internship success alumni persistence in STEM and engagement in events.
- Support event planning for showcases summits and networking socials.
- Manage program budgets and track expenses in collaboration with Operations and Finance teams.
- Gather feedback from youth and alumni to inform program improvement.
What Were Looking For
Education & Training
- Post-secondary education in a relevant field (e.g. education youth development STEM career development community work) or equivalent experience.
- Ongoing commitment to professional development.
Required Experience & Expertise
- 23 years of experience in youth programming facilitation or education ideally with high school youth and/or young adults.
- Experience coordinating mentorship internships or experiential learning opportunities.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Comfort with Google Workspace Microsoft Office and project management tools (e.g. Asana Notion).
Key Competencies & Skills
- Program Coordination & Delivery: Skilled in planning and delivering high-quality programming for youth and alumni.
- Youth-Centered Facilitation: Ability to engage senior youth and alumni in leadership career readiness and confidence-building activities.
- Team Leadership: Proven ability to coach and support program staff.
- Partnership Development: Skilled at building relationships with employers institutions and community partners.
- Equity-Driven Approach: Commitment to creating inclusive accessible environments for underrepresented communities.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with youth families and partners.
- Data & Systems Fluency: Experience with CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce) and evaluation methods.
- Adaptability & Initiative: Ability to adjust to evolving needs and identify new opportunities for programming.
Preferred
- Experience working with underserved or equity-deserving communities.
- STEM youth development or work-integrated learning experience.
- Familiarity with local youth-serving organizations school systems and postsecondary pathways.
- Salesforce or CRM experience.
