Overview: | Quinnipiac Universitys School of Nursing invites applicants who are dynamic clinicians and educators for a full-time 12-month clinical track faculty position. The successful candidate will be a doctorally-prepared nurse educator who will teach across the schools undergraduate and graduate nursing programs. The candidate will have experience in the clinical areas of behavioral and mental health including certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with expertise in teaching in didactic clinical and laboratory environments. About the School: | The School of Nursing serves a total of 1100 graduate and undergraduate students. Faculty and staff collaborate with colleagues in our Center for Medicine Nursing and Health Sciences and all schools across campus to create innovative interprofessional educational experiences that prepare students for todays health care challenges. The Center is located at our North Haven CT campus and encompasses 325000 square feet designed for collaborative learning including forty-eight pro-section stations sixteen standardized patient rooms an exceptional health sciences library seven high-fidelity simulation rooms including 2 ORs and a PACU health assessment and skills labs advanced diagnostic imaging equipment and classrooms outfitted with the latest technology. As one of sixteen schools in the nation with holistically endorsed programs we emphasize the social emotional spiritual and psychological aspects of care as well as the physical throughout our nursing curriculum. We offer traditional and accelerated second degree programs at the baccalaureate level. At the graduate level our Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) prepares baccalaureate graduates to become nurse practitioners specializing in adult-gerontology or families; an online MSN prepares RNs for careers in mid-level management and includes quality improvement fiscal management human resources and informatics. Our post-masters Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) online programs are designed for nurses seeking advanced leadership skills or specialized population-based care.
