Job Description

Special Education Paraprofessional - 1:1Coburn Elementary Coburn Elementary School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Paraprofessional to provide individualized support to a student with unique learning and/or behavioral needs. The successful candidate will work closely with the classroom teacher and related service providers to reinforce instruction encourage independence and foster a safe supportive learning and Responsibilities:-Provide direct support to an assigned student to reinforce learning of materials and skills introduced by the teacher.-Assist the teacher in implementing individualized strategies tailored to the students specific needs interests and abilities.-Establish and maintain a positive supportive and respectful relationship with the student to promote social emotional and academic growth.-Support the student during transitions emergency drills assemblies play periods field trips and other school-related activities.-Assist with lunch snack toileting and clean-up routines as needed.-Monitor and support the student during playground cafeteria bus loading/unloading and other non-classroom settings.-Collaborate with teachers specialists and administrators to support the students Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and accommodations.-Participate in professional development and in-service training programs.-Perform other duties as assigned by the classroom teacher building administration or Superintendent of : - Associates Degree or 48 college credits attained or Workkeys Associate degree preferred. - Citizenship residency or work visa required.- Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed- Familiarity with some data collection is preferred.- Ability to work with young active children in the classroom on the playground and in the gym during gross motor : Per Unit D Contract (salary range: $17.67/hr-$22.96/hr)
