About the Role: Manager Business Development

Were growing - and were hiring a Manager Business Development to join our Sales team! In this role youll help us develop top sales talent drive pipeline growth and optimize sales processes within a dynamic and supportive environment. Youll lead our Business Development Representative (SDR) team and report directly to the SVP of Sales playing a key role in shaping the future of our sales organization. Youll collaborate closely with teammates across Sales Marketing Customer Success and Product contribute to a high-trust environment and play a direct role in shaping the future of the industry.

What Youll Do

Heres what youll do:

  • Lead and develop a team of SDRs: Recruit hire train and provide ongoing coaching and mentorship to a team of early-career sales representatives to ensure their success and career progression.
  • Drive and optimize the sales pipeline: Develop and implement effective outbound prospecting strategies to generate qualified leads and fill the sales pipeline to meet or exceed company quotas.
  • Track and analyze performance metrics: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as conversion rates lead volume and activity metrics. Use data-driven insights to provide feedback improve team performance and forecast sales accurately.
  • Enhance sales processes and tool utilization: Manage the day-to-day use of CRM software (Salesforce or HubSpot) and other sales engagement tools to ensure efficiency data integrity and best practice adoption.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with marketing sales and operations teams to align strategies optimize lead generation and ensure a seamless handoff of opportunities.


What You Bring

Some of the qualities that help you thrive in this role:

  • 5 years of experience as an Account Executive OR 2 years of experience as an SDR or Sales Manager
  • Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 5 years of experience in a SaaS sales environment.
  • 2 years of experience in outbound prospecting.
  • Moderate to expert proficiency with either Salesforce or HubSpot.
  • A proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • The desire and passion to lead and develop early-career sales representatives.
  • Strong leadership coaching and performance management abilities.
  • Comfort working independently and asynchronously while also prioritizing collaboration and connection with people
  • Experience (or excitement for) working with AI
  • Bonus: Familiarity with the promo industry or creative agencies


Compensation & Perks

We believe in paying fairly and being proactive about ensuring our team is rewarded growth and innovation. New team members start at $80000 to $90000 CAD base salary with the initial offer based on experience with an uncapped variable commission target of $50000 CAD annually.

The OTE for this role is between$130000 and $140000 CAD.


New hires are expected to come in at the midpoint of this range. However if this role sounds perfect for you and your expectations are outside of this range we encourage you to apply and let us know in your application about your ideal package. If we agree that its a good fit we will have open discussion around whats possible.

Location

This role is open to candidates eligible to work in Canada with the exception of Quebec (were not set up to operate there yet désolé!).

Were remote-first but if youre based in Toronto even better. Thats where we were founded and where we maintain our HQ today!
