Job Description:

This position is responsible for driving resource forecasting and allocation processes for new projects leveraging historical data and complexity scaling models to improve efficiency and accuracy.
The role involves designing and building a tool analyzing data and ensuring alignment between project forecasts organizational capacity and corporate planning systems.

Key Responsibilities

Project Scoping & Forecasting

Drive scoping activities to determine human resources and hardware requirements for new projects.
Participate in project scoping reviews and deliver presentations to explain project estimates.
Run allocation reports on demand; review and analyze data and explain variances.
Work with various Business Units to finalize project funding.
Create models for project estimates using Visual Basic or other programming languages.
Allocate work to resources based on scoping data and other activities.
Maintain consistency between teams work allocation and the corporate-wide planning database.
Allocate work to resources in planning tools.

Solution Design & Development

Design small-scale flexible solutions and algorithms based on business requirements.
Implement solutions based on approved designs.
Create and maintain software tools to facilitate work allocation and forecasting.
Develop front-end interfaces for displaying data and generating reports (MS Office or web applications).
Manage and manipulate data in databases (SQL) for reporting and analysis.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Business Engineering or related field.
Programming skills and experience in common high-level languages such as VBA and Python.
Experience managing data in a database (SQL).
At least 5 years of experience in project planning and forecasting.
Strong communication skills to engage with stakeholders and external teams.
Ability to adapt quickly manage multiple demands and competing priorities and deliver under tight deadlines.
Front-end development experience for data visualization and reporting is a plus.
