Job Description
Programmer/Analyst
Starting Pay$82000-$96000depending on experience.
Work from Home Requirements
This position is eligible for 50% telecommuting after initial training period and satisfactory job performance.
What we are looking for
Responsible for the creation and/or modification of custom business applications to include
required encoding testing and debugging.

Core Functions
- Reviews analyzes and modifies assigned programming systems throughout the full projectcycle to support the organizations business applications
- Develops and maintains comprehensive project documentation and assures compliance withestablished development methodologies and departmental standards
- Works with departmental and business unit staff to define project requirements and developapplication enhancements
- Oversees testing and implementation of new or modified applications
- Maintains comprehensive system documentation relating to any new or modified systems and performance as they arise
Education
- BS/BA degree in Information Systems or a relevant field
Experience
- Three years of directly applicable work experience demonstrating a proficiency in
application development using advanced programming languages
o Experience will include a history of working in a Software Development Life
Cycle (SDLC) environment
Nice to Have Qualifications
- Excellent written communications skills to include the ability to produce detailed systemdocumentation
- Excellent verbal communications skills to include the ability to communicate complextechnical terminology to users in a clear and concise manner
- Detailed knowledge of an integrated version control tool such as Visual Safe Source
- Working knowledge relational database software and SQL
- Ability to perform complex mathematical functions which may include statistical andregression analysis modeling and variance analysis
- Ability to analyze information and apply theoretical concepts as needed to quicklydetermine appropriate action or response to user requirements or system problems
- Demonstrates attention to detail
- Demonstrates sound judgment and decision-making skills
- Ability to accomplish work with minimal direction and guidance
- Ability to prioritize and accomplish work with minimal direction and guidance
What professional education requirements do I need to obtain
- Successful completion within 90 days of standardized training in Principals of Insurance
Dwelling Coverages and Homeowner Coverages*
*if incumbent did not have prior experience in a position with this requirement
