Our Collins Aerospace facility in Ottawa is a world leader in wireless communications networking with products such as high-data-rate HF/VHF/UHF modems and the Self Configuring Relay Network (SCRN) for ad-hoc wireless networks. Collins Aerospace Canada is developing the next generation of HF radios that support significant throughput improvements and ad-hoc networking features as well as developing Software Defined Radio networking waveforms for customers around the world. We are in need of enthusiastic team-players to join our team in Ottawa. This role is one of an individual contributor working under direction of technical leadership.
What You Will Do
- Performs research and engineering laboratory functions involving the building testing troubleshooting repairing and modification of electronic or electro-mechanical devices assemblies subsystems and systems.
- Supports and participates in troubleshooting activities.
- Able to utilize schematics procedures engineering drawings and follow written/verbal instructions including test procedures.
- May assist with operation and configuration of test and demonstration setups.
- May assist with product and bulk level kitting as well as inventory counting activities.
- May assist with logistics support functions as required.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Canadian citizenship is required successful candidate must be eligible to obtain a government of Canada secret level security clearance.
- Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with less than 2 years of relevant experience
- Candidatesmust be comfortable with use of spectrum analyzers voltmeters and oscilloscopes; and proficient users of Microsoft Word and Excel.
