Job Purpose:
Under the general supervision of the Health Information Management & Purchased Referred Care Supervisor the temporary clerical assistant will support the daily operations of our busy referral office. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering excellent administrative support to both staff and patients.
Essential Functions:
- Greet and assist patients and visitors in a professional manner.
- Answer phone calls and direct calls send messages as needed.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate patient records.
- File scan and organize medical documents.
- Support office staff with general administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or one (1) year related experience and / or training.
- Previous Clerical or Administrative experience preferred medical office experience a plus.
- Must possess strong organizational problem-solving. Computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to manage and prioritize workflow. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Able to communicate and deal effectively with people in a professional and courteous manner in person or on the phone.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen physical and background investigation.
- Must have proof of completed COVID vaccination.
Special Qualifications: Must be sensitive to the needs of the Native American community demonstrate a deep understanding and respect for the diverse cultural heritage traditions and historical context of the Native American community.
