Critical examination of concepts and principles underlying the design and application of standards for the description of information resources. The course examines current standards for resource description and their relationship to the resource discovery context within which they operate. Previously ISI 5120.

Requirements:

PhD or Masters in Information Studies from an ALA accredited institution required. Relevant teaching or professional experience in the subject matter.
