CASA Classroom Teacher
High Level Alberta
The CASA Classroom Program is a treatment-oriented program that is a collaboration
between Alberta Health Services CASA and school divisions. FVSD is hiring a teacher to
join a multidisciplinary team that will support the mental health needs of grades 5-9
students in a school environment.
The Position:
- Experience working with students with diagnosed mental health or social-emotional challenges
- Experience in diverse classrooms with a wide range of learning and regulation needs
- Training in mental health literacy and trauma-informed teaching practices
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training
- Experience or familiarity with analyzing data and using data to inform decisions and/or instruction
Start Date:
- January 5 2026
- Full-time teaching role
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be a Canadian citizen permanent resident or have avalid work permit
- Must have aBachelors Degree in Education or itsequivalent
- Must be eligible to obtain or have a validAlberta Teaching Certificate
- Willing torelocate to northern Alberta
