About the Role:
The E-Commerce Business Development Lead will deliver targeted profitable and sustainable growth within the E-commerce channel driving a very ambitious business development agenda focusing on the 4 areas identified as future high potential:
E-Commerce Paper Bags Users: Players in the Apparel Beauty & PC Cat
E-com Pure Players: Zooplus Hello Fresh
Logistics/Fulfillment Players: Ceva Geodis
New Flexibles Product Developments: Single Face Padded Mailers
You will drive for greater focus and engagement from our entire organisation on the selected 10 E-Com Central Development (ECD) accounts (Packaging Spend in excess of 160mil EUR) and our E-com Paper Bags market penetration agenda working equally closely with divisional SMI functional directors to ensure we deliver against our agenda with pace and bring the best DSS has to offer to our customers.
You will develop close relationships within the in-target Bus Dev customers senior leadership teams within Procurement supply Chain R&D Marketing Sales and Operations to boost our growth on these high potential accounts and bring our customer relationships onto another level allowing us to be making a clear difference with our competitors and start building future partnerships on strong business foundations.
Your remit will include but not limited to:
E-Com Central Development Accounts (ECDs): develop and deploy 3-year Business Development plans for each of the 10 ECD Accounts agreed with the CBU Director and Divisional SMI
Secure continuous prioritization of SMI activities in line with the overall business development plans and initiate reporting to CBU Director
Identify exploit and deliver customers share growth and new business development opportunities within the accounts taking ownership of the sales pipeline through CRM - including customer contact and engagement plans to create and build up strong multi-level relationships within the key account base
Drive the performance of each key account through a set of agreed KPIs including Revenue Volume MOVC and Account Health (NPS)
Provide regular customer insights from our e-commerce business development customers to support the extension development and further breakthrough of our e-commerce innovation pipeline
Paper Bags & Flexibles New Product Developments: Co-Develop and drive with our markets a robust working platform for Paper Bags/Flexibles New Product Developments (padded mailers) from opportunities identification to conversion ensuring you provide guidance and direction on all enablers required
Lead manage coach and develop our local Paper Bags/New Ecom Flexibles Solutions sales champions to achieve maximum performance and the capability to meet current and future business targets and challenges in this new product offering
Deploy with the Divisional marketing team a specific marketing & communication strategy (specific website case studies social media exhibitions press releases advertising customer appraisal videos) to support our E-commerce Business Development/New Products agenda
ECD & Paper Bags Multi-Country Tenders: Deliver and Align Tender Strategies; close collaboration with our Commercial Finance Teams before and throughout the tender ensuring internal processes and WoW are strictly adhered to (CTC)
Manage customer accounts renegotiate and extend contracts and supply agreements
Executing on new wins through strong project and implementation management working hand in hand with CVD Team
Build and promote a functional multi-country and multi-functional organizational structure and culture that tears down any functional/business unit barriers and establish a lean and efficient structure that utilizes all existing capabilities and resources across the organization to drive our e-commerce business development
Be recognized as an E-commerce Innovative Solution provider and a referenced player in the new arena of Flexibles.
About You:
Masters degree in Business/Marketing Engineering
Previous experience in senior commercial leadership roles in the Packaging industry
Strong business acumen and commercial experience on senior level with the ability to demonstrate high credibility and tangible results from driving and managing sales growth and development and execution of account strategy at a Divisional level
Demonstrated customer experience commercial and sales leadership skills with proven creativity and ability to grasp analyse and initiate actions
Dynamic energetic and proactive with an open authentic and to the point personality focused on projects and results delivery
Drive determination and resilience with energy enthusiasm and a can-do attitude and behaviors to be recognized as a true business development champion
Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management with ability to collaborate and develop strong relationships with internal and external partners
Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation capability
Super User level in Microsoft Office applications particularly in PowerPoint and Excel (Pivots Vlookups etc.)
Fluent German and English spoken and written. Additional languages are an advantage.
Location: Germany (or within easy access)
Travel: High flexibility required - must be willing to undertake occasional travel within Europe for on-site meetings
