Were currently looking for a dedicated and reliable CDL Delivery Driver to join our team and help us maintain our reputation for excellence.
Position Summary:
As a CDL Delivery Driver at Colours Inc. youll play a key role in ensuring our products reach our store locations on time and in perfect condition. Youll be the face of our company during deliveries providing exceptional customer service while maintaining the highest safety and compliance standards. This position will have a set schedule every other week to begin with. Because of this there will be warehouse responsibilities. Warehouse and Forklift experience is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
**Delivery schedule will run every other week throughout the New England territory utilizing a 26-ft box truck. Time spent not on transfer runs will be spent assisting in warehouse/store duties. **
Operate company-owned commercial vehicles (Class A or B CDL with Haz-Mat Endorsement) to deliver paint and coating products to Colours Locations across Maine through Massachusetts.
Ensure timely and accurate delivery verifying Proper Shipping and Haz-Mat paperwork before departure.
Load and unload products using appropriate tools and techniques ensuring product integrity.
Perform pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is safe and proper working order.
Maintain accurate delivery logs and records adhering to DOT and company guidelines. ELD will be used.
Build and maintain positive relationships with Colours Managers by providing friendly professional service.
Communicate effectively with the dispatch team regarding delays route changes or other delivery issues.
Uphold Colours Inc.s safety standards by following all company policies and transportation regulations.
Warehouse work as needed including operating a forklift.
Qualifications:
Valid Commercial Drivers License (Class A or B CDL with Haz-Mat endorsement) with a clean driving record.
Previous experience as a CDL delivery driver preferably in the paint coatings or construction supply industry.
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of local delivery area routes is a plus.
