Job Description

The Capacity Planning Specialists job is to predict analyze and manage the resources needed to meet current and future business needs. This job includes analyzing data making predictions and planning for different scenarios to make sure resources are used efficiently bottlenecks are kept to a minimum and the organization can grow. The best candidate has strong analytical skills pays close attention to detail and can clearly explain complicated information to people in different departments.

Key Responsibilities:

Use past data business trends and forecasts to create and keep up-to-date capacity plans.

Work with the operational HR and supply chain teams to figure out what resources you need now and in the future.

Make and change schedules for workers production plans or models for allocating resources to meet changes in demand.

Keep an eye on key performance indicators (KPIs) and send regular reports on how well resources are being used where there are gaps and what the risks are.

Use scenario planning and sensitivity analyses to see how changes in demand supply or operational strategy will affect your business.

Find ways to make processes better and suggest ways to make them more efficient and make the best use of resources.

Help with planning budgets and headcounts that are in line with the goals of the organization.

Help put in place new systems tools or processes to make capacity planning more accurate and flexible.

Write and give detailed reports and suggestions to senior management and other important people.

Make sure that all internal policies and external rules about capacity planning and workforce management are followed.

Qualifications:

A bachelors degree in operations management business administration supply chain statistics industrial engineering or a related field is required.

2 years of experience in an analytical role related to capacity planning workforce management supply chain planning or something similar.

Ability to use data analysis tools and software like Excel SQL or specialized capacity planning software like SAP Oracle or Anaplan.

Good at analyzing doing math and solving problems.

Great at talking and writing; can explain complicated ideas to people who arent technical.

Very organized and detail-oriented able to handle many tasks and deadlines at once.

It is better if you have experience with forecasting methods data modeling and projects to make processes better.

Able to work alone and with others in a busy setting.

Pay and Benefits:

Pay per hour: $30 to $45 depending on experience and qualifications.
