Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Dispatcher / Internal Service Advisor to join our automotive service team. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive diagnostics excellent communication skills and a passion for customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Dispatch work to shop
- Maintain shop productivity
- Write Internal Repair Orders coordinate with Used Car Manager and Technicians build and communicate repair estimates follow-up on the progress of repairs and update service repairs
- Provide detailed explanations of services required including brake repair oil changes and other maintenance tasks.
- Utilize automotive diagnostics to identify issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Prepare service estimates and manage service writing effectively to ensure clarity.
- Coordinate with mechanics to ensure timely completion of services while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Follow up with post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any further questions or concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions services performed and parts used.
- Stay informed about the latest automotive technologies and service techniques to provide knowledgeable advice.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in automotive service is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems including brake repair oil change procedures and general maintenance.
- Excellent sales skills with the ability to effectively communicate recommendations.
- Proficiency in auto estimating and service management software is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- A valid drivers license is required.
