Registered Nurse& Educator
Department: Courtyard East this unit at Chelsea hospital cares for Medical-Surgical patients as well as chronic head pain patient populations. Courtyard East is a 41 bed unit specializing in surgical post-operative care telemetry stroke chronic pain management and patient education.
Location: Chelsea MI
Pay: RN - $34.77-48.32 per hour based upon licensed nursing experience applicable shift premiums (when working afternoons overnights and weekends) Educator - $38.77-$52.32 per hour based upon licensed nursing experience

Shifts Available: Rotating 7am-7:30pm and 11am-11:30pm
Status Available: Part time benefit eligible (60 hours per pay period every two weeks total) 24 hours per pay period allocated to the Educator position and 36 hours per pay period allocated to the bedside RN role
Every third weekend and holiday rotation required
Position Purpose:

Educator: Nursing Educators facilitate staff competency in providing Relationship-Based Care by using adult learning principles demonstrating interest in and respect for learners and creating an environment of safety for both patients and colleagues. Nursing Educators work in collaboration with the Education Department and other departments to assess plan develop implement/coordinate and evaluate the learning process and skill acquisition of colleagues students and instructors of affiliating schools. Collaborative functions include the orientation process preceptor development and programming continuing education staff development mandatory education and new product/new process education.
