In the Kitchen Manager role you will supervise the kitchen performance to ensure efficient operations in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for managing employees ensuring the cleanliness of the kitchen and expediting in Garde Manger. Success in this role will be demonstrated by providing expert leadership skills organization and attention to detail.
Kitchen Manager Job Responsibilities:
Supervises food runners and prepares schedules
Ensures that the kitchen is kept clean and safe
Expediting Garde Manger in an efficient manner while adhering to allergy protocols
Manage food runner labor to ensure budgets are being met
Coaching and counseling employees
Preparing for and leading food runner daily huddles
Holding food runners accountable for sidework assignments
Communicating schedule changes to Sous Chefs and Front of House Managers
Foster an environment that creates excitement for staff and guests
Accountability for oneself and the team
Uphold all company standards and policies
All other duties as assigned
Expected Hours of Work:
This position regularly requires long hours with frequent night and weekend work
A typical work week is a minimum of 50 hours
Physical Demands:
Duties of this job require constant tasting of all food products in-house
The employee must be able to lift at least 50 pounds while walking up and down
flights of stairs
