Job Title: Warehouse Operative

Reports To: Logistic Manager
Summary of Role
The Warehouse Operative is responsible for carrying out a variety of warehouse tasks to ensure the efficient receipt storage picking packing and dispatch of goods. This role is central to maintaining smooth warehouse operations and ensuring that products are handled safely accurately and on time.
Principal Responsibilities
- Receive check and store incoming goods accurately and safely.
- Pick pack and prepare customer orders in line with company standards.
- Load and unload vehicles using appropriate equipment and safe manual handling techniques.
- Carry out stock rotation and replenishment to maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Conduct regular stock checks and report any discrepancies to the supervisor.
- Maintain a clean safe and organised working environment at all times.
- Operate warehouse equipment (e.g. pallet trucks scanners) safely and effectively.
- Comply with all health & safety quality and operational policies and procedures.
- Support other warehouse tasks and departments as required.
Scope of Position
This role operates within a busy warehouse environment working closely with colleagues and other operational teams to meet daily targets and deadlines. It requires flexibility attention to detail and a strong focus on safety and teamwork. Shift work overtime and weekend work may be required depending on operational demands.

This position is located at JJ OTooles Eastlink Business Park Limerick.
Person Specification
Key Skills
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work to set procedures
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic IT or scanner skills for stock control systems
- Teamwork and communication skills
Knowledge and Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment preferred
- Familiarity with stock handling order picking and goods-in/out processes
- Knowledge of health & safety procedures within a warehouse
- Experience using warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks or scanners is an advantage

Qualifications
- No formal qualifications required
- Manual Handling training desirable
