The Difference You Make:

Santander is seeking an experienced and dynamic Security Operations Director to lead our US Security Operations Center (SOC) team across our MA and FL locations. This pivotal role will be responsible for developing capabilities driving cultural change and ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the SOC in alignment with Santanders overall physical security strategy and management framework.


The ideal candidate will be a results-oriented leader with a strong background in physical security demonstrated expertise in security risk management and a passion for fostering a proactive and adaptive security culture.

This position is 5 days a week on-site in our Quincy Massachusetts office.

Strategic Leadership
Provide vision and direction for the US SOC team aligning operations with Santanders strategic objectives and the overarching security management framework.
Develop and implement strategies to enhance the capabilities of the US SOC improving its ability to anticipate detect and respond to evolving security threats.
Drive a strong security-first culture within the SOC team and across the organization promoting awareness fostering collaboration and encouraging proactive security behaviors.


Risk Management & Compliance
Ensure security risks are properly identified evaluated and documented establishing and implementing effective mitigation strategies.
Oversee the access control compliance program and manage the Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process.
Develop and manage the US SOC Business Continuity Plan to ensure resilience during disruptions.


Operations Management
Manage the effective allocation of people financial and technology resources within the Security Operations function including operations intelligence and support administration.

Ensure the US SOC staffing structure is adequate implementing cross-training programs to maximize efficiency and capabilities.
Oversee intelligence responsibilities within the US SOC ensuring full integration with operations for proactive threat detection.
Manage the programming and configuration of security systems to corporate standards providing consistency across all Santander US security systems and processes.
Monitor the performance of security systems and the response provided by the US SOC staff on a daily monthly quarterly and annual basis.

Technology Expertise:
o Possess extensive knowledge of physical security systems including MAStermind CCURE 9000 Video Surveillance and Everbridge Critical Event Management systems.


Incident Response & Communication:
Ensure all US SOC staff are fully trained to handle security incidents from detection and response to recovery and remediation.

Develop and deploy robust processes and procedures for:

  • Alarm verification & response
  • Surveillance and other crime detection activities
  • Threat Monitoring & Intelligence Gathering
  • Incident escalation & reporting
  • Alarm PIN issuance processes & procedures
  • Physical access rights processes & procedures

Equip staff to draft clear and concise security communications to stakeholders at all levels.


What You Bring:

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Bachelors degree in a relevant field (e.g. Computer Science Criminal Justice) or equivalent experience.

9 Years Security experience required preferable with exposure to building technologies supporting commercial real estate. - Required.
Proven leadership experience in a Security Operations Center or similar environment.
Strong understanding of physical security principles technologies and best practices.
Expertise in physical security risk management frameworks and mitigation strategies.

Demonstrated ability to drive cultural change and foster a strong security-first mindset.
Excellent communication interpersonal and leadership skills.


It Would Be Nice For You To Have:
Established work history or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience training military service or education.

What Else You Need To Know:

The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt) the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills experience training licensure and certifications and location.

Base Pay Range

Minimum:

$108750.00 USD

Maximum:

$205000.00 USD
