Analyzes requests for corporate funding and generates related reports and correspondence. Develops and maintains effective relationships with community entities while responsibly allocating corporate funds.


Description

Location: This position is full-time (40-hours/week) Monday-Friday in a typical office environment. You will work an 8-hour shift scheduled during our normal business hours of 8:30AM-5:00PM. This role is located at 4101 Percival Road Columbia SC 29229.

What Youll Do:

  • Reviews applications for funding and tracks resulting disbursements with the cost and budget and tax departments. Ensures that corporate guidelines are met prior to forwarding requests for payment. Reviews business plans and interim post-donation reports to ensure donation funds are consistently utilized as approved by the CEO of BCBSSC.

  • Support communications staff with project management writing event planning promotion and logistics. Collaborate with Corporate Marketing Communications (CMC) to promote volunteerism and corporate philanthropy initiatives. Safeguards handling of cash during campaigns and related internal fundraising events.

  • Assists community relations management in maintaining related records. Ensures that corporate policies desired representation and/or other related objectives are met for approved special events/fund raisers.

  • Writes feature articles for internal corporate publication.

To Qualify for This Position Youll Need the Following:

  • Required Education: Bachelors degree.

  • Required Work Experience: 5-years of general business administration experience to include interaction with senior level management and external clients.

We Prefer That You Have the Following:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Experience planning and managing an event

  • Experience posting for a corporate social media account
