We are currently in search of a reliable and motivatedForklift Operatorto join our growing team in our Distribution Center located in Jacksonville! Your responsibility is to accurately and quickly service a very fast paced client base while maintaining the highest quality and safety in the industry. We are looking for a successful candidate that will possess knowledge and skill in FIFO principals as well as RF scanning equipment and be prepared to meet any challenge.
This position will pay $22.90/hour and work 9:00am- 5:30pm Monday through Friday.
Job Summary
- Operate forklift equipment cherry pickers high reach equipment safely and effectively; maintain equipment and report malfunctions.
- Perform warehouse duties including receiving and locating product within the RF scanner technology.
- Accurately pick stack wrap and stage outbound freight ensuring that warehouse goals are met.
- Implement work in the prescribed sequence so deliver-by-date is met.
- Work proficiently to meet Productivity Quality and Safety targets.
- Load/unload trucks.
- Maintain a strict housekeeping standards in accordance with 5S protocols.
- Report unsafe work conditions/environment in a timely basis.
- Cycle Counts & Stock Replenishment.
Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Proven work experience safely operating forklifts cherry picker and high reach equipment.
- Meet daily timelines and work in an environment where assignments and work priorities are reviewed several times a day.
- Ability to use RF technology.
- Comfortable using a harness and line yard as well as comfortable with heights
- Previous experience working in a warehouse preferred. Solid work history/tenure vs. job hopping is required.
- Good interpersonal skills; work well as a team but be self-motivated and independent at times.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly; ability to stand on your feet for the duration of the shift.
- Able to read and write in English.
- Steel toed shoes/boots are required.
- Successful completion of a drug screen physical and criminal background check.
Working Conditions
- Ongoing requirement of physical activities including considerable walking bending lifting 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand on your feet for long periods at a time
- Willingness to work in varying working conditions including indoors outdoors and at heights
- Ability to multitask in a fast paced and changing environment
