The minimum requirements for this position are the possession of at least a Bachelors degree in Business Administration Management Finance or a related field and at least two years experience in any occupation involving the coordination and implementation of budget finance and/or operations projects/initiatives. Such experience must involve managing Operating Room (OR) inventory in partnership with Supply Chain; identifying and implementing OR cost-savings initiatives; and oversight of periop/OR efficiency metrics. Must also have at least one year of experience working with Surgeon Preference Cards to identify waste and increase product standardization across surgical specialties and working with Surgeon Performance Scorecards to glean insight on surgeon efficiency and quality metrics.

This position works with Department of Surgery leadership to analyze current operational systems and recommends changes to increase effectiveness and efficiency in workflow process; coordinates development of and produces monthly statistical reports and trend analyses that track efficiency metrics block utilization and cost awareness; maintains the Block Schedule for all Perioperative areas; assists with developing any business plans including but not limited to new value-added surgical programs as well assessment reviews documenting the value of current programs; works closely with leadership team and Supply Chain to ensure accurate billing and allocation of supplies and materials within the service line; completes a thorough analysis of costs-initiatives and identifies cost-savings opportunities; participates on the local and system clinical value analysis team committees; supports volume growth initiatives by participating in outreach to surgeons and their office staff; helps prepare annual operating capital and volume budgets and surgical targets; oversees the Operating Room and GI Scheduling Office and manages one to three Schedulers and the Operating Room Scheduler and Billing Supervisor.
