Salary: 28600
40 hours per week alternative weekends
Our client is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Sous Chef to join the kitchen team in a luxury nursing home for older adults.
This is a rewarding role for a chef who understands the importance of food in daily life. Youll be preparing fresh high-quality meals that meet a wide range of dietary needs from allergies to texture-modified diets ensuring every resident enjoys nutritious and delicious dining experiences.
What Were Looking For
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or similar role (care or healthcare setting experience desirable).
- Strong understanding of special diets allergies and nutrition for older adults.
- Food hygiene and safety qualifications (Level 2 or above preferred).
- Ability to create meals that are both healthy and enjoyable.
- A team-focused approach with good communication skills.

What Youll Be Doing
- Preparing and serving freshly cooked meals tailored to individual dietary needs.
- Supporting the Head Chef with menu planning and stock control.
- Creating balanced dishes that promote hydration nutrition and wellbeing.
- Maintaining excellent standards of food hygiene safety and kitchen cleanliness.
- Helping deliver a welcoming premium dining experience for residents.
- Working as part of a supportive catering team to ensure smooth daily service.
