About Harris County Flood Control District:
The Flood Control District has the mission to reduce the risk of flooding in Harris County the third most populated county in the United States with a population in excess of 4.7 million including the City of Houston the nations fourth largest city. The Flood Control District has jurisdiction over the primary stormwater facilities in the county which consist of approximately 1500 channels totaling nearly 2500 miles in length as well as more than 60 regional stormwater detention basins totaling more than 10000 acres and several wetlands mitigation banks including Greens bayou.
Production Supervisor Job Summary:
Harris County Flood Control District is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Production Supervisor with the Facilities Maintenance Department.
Reporting to the Field Operations Manager the Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising and assigning daily work to the field crew and ensuring the crew meets set production goals.
Essential Functions and Duties:
- Supervise and oversee the crew leaders tool room attendant and entire field crew.
- Travel to crew locations to ensure crews are meeting production requirements and goals.
- Assign daily work to field crew track production and issue work orders for daily assignments.
- Prepare daily production forms document incidents and accidents and put in requests such as forms for damaged equipment requests for supplies and small equipment on the storefront application.
- Enter crew timesheet information and scan all tickets from the recycle center and landfills for payment.
- Inspect work sites facilities and equipment and ensure safety standards are being met.
- Prepare and update daily work reports on all activities.
- Perform other duties that may be added or changed as the course and scope of the job directs.

- Ability to operate heavy construction equipment including tractors all-terrain vehicles four-wheel-drive trucks and small equipment including generators water pumps air compressors chain saws and tractors and a variety of hand tools.
