Commercial Contracts Manager

UK-based remote role Full-time or part-time Permanent

Are you a commercially minded legal expert who thrives on ownership influence and variety Do you want to become the go-to legal and contracts lead in a fast-growing award-winning consultancy driving the UKs Net Zero transition

At Consultus we dont just advise on sustainability we shape it. From multi-million-pound service agreements to Net Zero implementation projects our work spans five dynamic business units. Were looking for a Commercial Contracts Manager who will take the reins on all contractual and legal matters providing authoritative guidance across the business and shaping the foundation of our future growth.

You will be Consultus in-house legal and commercial authority taking full ownership of all commercial contracts and legal matters. Youll lead the drafting review negotiation and management of agreements across all our business units providing authoritative guidance that supports growth protects the company and ensures compliance.

Youll also have the chance to build new contract frameworks for our Net Zero projects from the ground up a rare opportunity to influence how a consultancy operates at the intersection of law commerce and sustainability.

What success looks like

  • Taking full ownership of all commercial and legal matters across Consultus.

  • Leading the drafting review negotiation and management of contracts spanning multiple business units

  • Becoming the trusted legal and commercial advisor to senior management and project teams

  • Shaping and improving contract processes templates and governance

  • Supporting bids and tenders by coordinating legal and contractual input ensuring deadlines and submissions are met

  • Providing pragmatic commercially sound guidance that protects and advances the companys interests

Who were looking for

  • Legally qualified with hands-on experience in commercial contracts

  • Experienced across a broad range of contracts ideally from consultancy service-led or implementation-focused businesses

  • Strong understanding of legal jargon and contract law able to make sound commercial decisions independently

  • Confident self-starter with excellent stakeholder management communication and organisational skills

  • Knowledge or experience in Net Zero projects (e.g. solar wind energy management) is a bonus

  • This is a UK-based role primarily remote with occasional attendance at the office where business needs require
