Job Summary
Are you a finance leader ready to shape the future of accounting in a dynamic international environment CWS Workwear is looking for a strategic and hands-on Chief Accountant to oversee financial operations in Romania. Responsibilities:
Manage full statutory accounting in compliance with Romanian regulations.
Prepare local financial statements and support group reporting (IFRS with central support).
Handle tax compliance (VAT CIT) and coordinate with tax advisors and auditors.
Supervise a 2-person accounting team.
Act as the main contact point for the German group headquarters.
Requirements:
University degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience as Chief Accountant
or minimum 57 years of total accounting experience including 23 years as Senior Accountant in an international company or an audited entity.
Strong knowledge of Romanian accounting and tax regulations.
Experience with group reporting packages (basic IFRS knowledge is sufficient).
English at least B2 level (suitable for daily communication with headquarters).
Solid knowledge of Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
