Job Title: General Ledger Accountant
Job Location: Bucharest Romania
Main Responsibilities:
- Design and implement accounting processes and solutions based on local compliance requirements and business operations.
- Perform regular accounting reporting and analysis aligned with local standards and tax regulations.
- Manage the accounting and analysis of VAT WHT and CIT processes.
- Ensure accurate accounting treatment and reporting in line with IFRS and local GAAP for European subsidiaries.
- Conduct routine month-end closing reconciliations and external compliance analysis.
- Support internal and external audits of financial statements.
- Prepare financial reports and deliver value-added analysis to stakeholders.
- Work within a highly automated accounting environment and contribute to further process improvements.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams finance partners and external auditors.
- Promote best practices and provide guidance on accounting standards and compliance requirements across various business scenarios.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree or above in Accounting Finance Financial Management or a related field.
- 23 years of experience in accounting audit or revenue; prior experience as a General Ledger Accountant is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of accounting standards tax processes and compliance requirements.
- Experience working with highly automated accounting systems; low manual-work environments is a plus.
- Strong communication and coordination skills; ability to interact across diverse business scenarios.
- Good English reading and writing skills.
