Job Description
MTU Maintenance Fort Worthis part of the worlds largest independent jet engine MRO company based in Germany providing aftermarket and OEM-licensed engine maintenance services worldwide. As a part of MTU Aero Engines with over 80 years of experience in the design development and production of jet engine components modules and engines; MTU Maintenance is a global network of over 4000 employees with over 35 years of experience in the MRO market.
MTU provides maintenance from targeted hospital visits to complete overhauls on over 30 commercial aero engine and industrial gas turbine lines and has completed more than 18000 shop visits for over 1400 customers worldwide. Within this Global network MTU Maintenance Dallas provides hospital shop and on-site maintenance services.
Application Specialist
The Application Specialist is responsible for consulting and supporting the companys departments in the field of applied IT systems (especially SAP) and creating a network of key users. Main responsibilities include ensuring the smooth operation of IT applications (monitoring scheduled tasks participation in access authorization processes solving current problems) and supporting departments in defining work organization considering existing IT systems.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Contacting end-users of IT systems to eliminate problems related to the operation of the ERP system and associated applications
- Ensure that systems are maintained and improved according to current MTU requirements and expectations
- Maintaining and monitoring SAP and other functional and operational applications entrusted to the application
- Practical knowledge business processes related SAP system at the plant
- SAP data analysis - early detection of abnormalities corrective actions
- Participation in User Group work - testing new SAP releases giving feedback on user modification proposals submitting new modifications
- User help for current problems solving if needed problem escalation service notification and monitoring until it is resolved
- Participation in modification and creation of new procedures in SAP
- Responsible for the application (exclude Office 365)
Required Skills/Abilities:
- SAP knowledge at least on the level of advanced user in the field of processes in the company
- Ability to analyze data from SAP system
- Knowledge of reporting tools from databases
- MS Office knowledge
- Good Technical Aptitude and Business acumen.
- Strong verbal written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to lead and well as a major contributor to projects and programs.
- Excellent Interpersonal Team leadership and motivation skills.
- Problem solving ability in a rapidly changing environment.
- Ability to work with all levels within the company.
- Customer focused.
- Ability to work under sustained pressure in a most competitive environment.
- Ambitious motivated energetic enthusiastic self-starter who can work on their own initiative.
