The Program Coordinator is a member of the K.C. Potter Center for LGBTQI Life in the Belonging and Communities area of the Student Affairs division at Vanderbilt University and is a key contributor responsible for programs events and initiatives within the positionworks with campus and community partners to design coordinate and deliver events and initiatives related to sexuality and gender identity for the Vanderbilt coordinator willmake important connections with and support all students including students with intersectional identities who may be part of our Black Latinx Asian Native Indigenous and other student communities. The coordinator also serves as an advisor and/or liaison to LGBTQIA organizations on campus and provides relevant resource referrals to Vanderbilt community directly to the Director of LGBTQI Life the Coordinator collaborates most frequently with the professional and student staff within LGBTQI Life as well as the other offices within Student Affairs division.
About the Work Unit:
The K.C. Potter Center for Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Queer and Intersex Life at Vanderbilt University is a cultural center and a place of affirmation for individuals of all identities and a resource for information and support about gender and sexuality. Housed in the K.C. Potter Center LGBTQI Life serves all members of the Vanderbilt community students faculty staff and alumni by creating educational cultural and social opportunities. The office also supports and advises LGBTQI -related campus groups and activities. The LGBTQI life staff is deeply engaged in the life of the University and is highly collaborative. The team aspires to center intersectional justice in its initiatives programming and structure.
About Belonging & Communities:
Belonging and Communities is an area within the Student Affairs division and is comprised of the Bishop Joseph Johnson Black Cultural Center the Margaret Cuninggim Womens Center K.C. Potter Center for LGBTQI Life the Center for Spiritual and Religious Life and the Student Center for Belonging and Communities. The mission of Belonging and Communities is to foster welcoming compassionate spaces where all students at Vanderbilt can explore who they are holistically connect with others learn from differences and grow. Through intentional programs and collaborative partnerships we work to co-create a campus where every experience is honored and each student is empowered to thrive.

Supervisory Relationships:
