Job Summary
Berwick Academy seeks a dynamic and creative Science Teacher to cover a medical leave from mid-November to mid-December 2025. This position includes teaching four sections of high school science with a primary focus in Biology.
The successful candidate will:
Deliver engaging student-centered instruction aligned with existing curriculum and learning objectives.
Differentiate instruction and assessments to support a range of learners.
Integrate technology to enhance student engagement and learning.
Communicate regularly with students colleagues and parents regarding student progress.
Communicate with primary teacher about student progress at the conclusion of the coverage.
Responsibilities:
Teach two sections of Advanced Biology one section of Nutrition & Exercise Physiology and one section of Anatomy & Physiology.
Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise in science education with proficiency in Biology.
Experience applying innovative student-centered teaching practices.
Understanding of adolescent development and current pedagogical best practices.
Flexible self-directed and collaborative with a commitment to students growth both in and out of the classroom.
