Job Summary

The ClinicVolunteer plays a vital role in planning and leading a variety of engaging activities tailored to the needs of children and youth with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other learning and developmental delays. The ClinicVolunteer will help create a safe organized and positive camp environment that encourages teamwork creativity and skill development while accommodating behavioral challenges.


Schedule: Tuesday Wednesday Thursday 330PM-630PM; Monday Wednesday Friday 9AM-1PM

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and oversee diverse daily activities creating an engaging and supportive atmosphere

  • Aidin picking activities motivating team participation and imaginative thinking.

  • Proactively encourage positive behavior and teamwork addressing behavioral challenges as needed.

  • Maintain a clean organized and safe activity environment at all times.

  • Complete incident reports in Microsoft Teams within 24 hours as per regional requirements.

  • Provide professional positive and respectful communication updates regarding behavior to caregivers

Qualifications:
  • We encourage current university students pursuing careers in Occupational Therapy Speech-Language Pathology Behaviour Analysis or Psychology.

  • Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening and legally authorized to work in Canada

  • Experience in program coordination recreationally-centered or community-based work is a plus
