The Volunteer Childminder provides safe engaging and age-appropriate care for young children while their parents participate in the Nobodys Perfect Parenting Program.

- Supervise and care for young children during program sessions.
- Engage children in play and age-appropriate activities.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Build positive relationships with children their parents and fellow childminders.

Schedule:
- 6-week program on Tuesdays starting January 20 until February 24
- 3-hour shifts from 9:45am to 12:45pm
Required Competencies:
- Commitment to Mission Vision and Values: Demonstrates and promotes a personal understanding of and appreciation for the mission vision and values of the YMCA of Southern Interior BC.
- Service Orientated: Deliberately identifies and creates opportunities to enhance each and every individuals YMCA experience. Creates action plans to resolve any service gap areas.
- Relationship Building and Collaboration: Builds positive interactions listens attentively and communicates effectively to create an open communication environment. Share information best practices and resources with colleagues.
The YMCAs Commitment to Trust Safety and Equality:
Current employees will complete a criminal record re-check process after completing three years of service. Any costs of completing the CRC for current employees will be the responsibility of the Association.
An interview must be conducted to ensure understanding of the role.
