Job Description Summary:

The Program Coordinator in the Department of Internal Medicine Division of Physical Activity & Weight Management will provide comprehensive administrative and programmatic support to the Nutrition Obesity Research Center Regional Research Core (NORC-RRC). This position is responsible for coordinating activities within the Administrative Core the Pilot and Feasibility Program and the Opportunity Fund. The Program Coordinator will collaborate closely with program directors investigators and institutional offices to ensure efficient operations and successful achievement of NORC-RRC objectives.

Job Description:

Job Duties Outlined:

  • Organize and schedule the NORC annual meeting monthly committee meetings advisory board meetings and other working groups including preparation of agendas and meeting materials.

  • Assist in the planning coordination and implementation of the NORC Scholars Program.

  • Provide administrative support to ensure timely completion of reports documentation and program milestones.

  • Coordinate and support the review process for Pilot and Feasibility applications including scheduling reviewers and compiling results.

  • Track the allocation use and outcomes of Pilot and Feasibility funds.

  • Monitor progress toward individual grant objectives and coordinate with institutional entities to facilitate fund distribution.

  • Assist investigators with the organization administration and oversight of the Opportunity Fund program.

  • Support planning reporting and documentation processes for all NORC-RRC programs.

  • Draft correspondence meeting materials reports and other program documentation.

  • Ensure compliance with institutional policies sponsor requirements and federal guidelines relevant to research administration.

  • Maintain the website. Ensure information is accurate and up to date.

Required Qualifications:

Work Experience:

  • Four years of relevant experience. Education may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

  • Two years providing administrative or program coordination support in an academic research or healthcare setting.

Compensation Statement:

The pay range listed for this position is determined by our compensation program using market data and salary benchmarking. A combination of factors is considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to education experience and training qualifications relative to the requirements of the position and funding. At the University of Kansas Medical Center a reasonable estimate for the starting pay range will be the minimum to midpoint of the posted range taking into account the combination of factors listed above.
