The North Carolina Office of the State Auditor (OSA) is seeking a Senior Auditor to serve on our Information Systems Audit this position you will get the opportunity to perform audits of information systems and information processing facilities investigate security breaches and research new information systems technology needs.
OSA is the states Fiscal Watchdog. We hold state government and entities that receive public money accountable working on behalf of North Carolinians to eliminate waste fraud and abuse.
This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with State Benefitsincluding:

As part of our team you will get to:
- Perform advanced level work which include complex and specialized auditing of financial and programmatic systems
- Complete independent examination and analysis of risks internal controls and complex source records
- Conduct fieldwork segments as well as planning and reporting assignments with teammates
- Be placed in-charge of designing and developing computer assist audit techniques (CAATs)
Knowledge Skills and Abilities / Competencies
- Knowledge of information system controls and generally accepted accounting principles
- Ability to examine operations and systems to assess accuracy integrity and risks
- Ability to communicate information to individuals or groups in an effective manner
- Ability to accomplish tasks and processes both accurately and completely
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
A bachelors degree with 24 semester hours in accounting and 12 semester hours in information technology or computer & information security from an appropriately accredited institution and 3 years of experience in auditing/accounting or information technology/computer security
OR
A bachelors degree with 24 semester hours in information technology or computer & information security and 12 semester hours in accounting/business from an appropriately accredited institution and 3 years of experience in auditing/accounting or information technology/computer security
OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience
