Wage: $19.30 - $25.39 per hour
Supervised by: Program Director or Superintendent
Work Year:October 13 2025 - June 12 2026

Note: This will be temporary supportof after school programs at Dry Hollow Chenowith Colonel Wright at The Dalles Middle Schools from October 6 thru June 12th. Up to 8 hours per week.


Job Purpose Statement:
To provide instructional assistance and support to elementary students in an after-school program.


Job Qualifications: Education and Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent;
72 quarter hours of accredited college or equivalent education or successfully passed Work Keys Test in
the areas of Math Reading and Business Writing Preferred (Required for Title I Funded Programs)


Licenses Certifications Bonding and/or Testing Required:
Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance
Valid Drivers License and evidence of insurability
Successfully pass district background screening

Essential Job Functions:
1. Assists with field trips and assemblies
2. Helps with academic support for students
3. Helps prepare snack and activities
4. Assists in the maintenance of an attractive and clean learning environment
5. Assists in data keeping as prescribed by site coordinator or Program Manager
6. Assists in preparation of teaching aids and/or material
7. Assists in implementing behavioral programs under direction of classroom teacher and Program Director
8. Maintains strict confidentiality. Does not relate any information to parents or other personnel outside the
school environment.
9. Meets frequently with Site Coordinator for purposes of planning and deliver of instructional support.
10. Attends all required meetings called by the Site Coordinator
11. Functions as an integral member of program staff
12. Must establish and maintain a positive working relationship with ESD and district personnel

Mathematical:
Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common
fractions and decimals.
Ability to compute rate ratio and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to make accurate mathematical computations or apply standardized statistical procedures.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deals with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only
limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram or schedule form.
