The Accounts Receivable Lead oversees daily operations reconciles customer accounts and supports the Accounts Receivable Manager.
Essential Functions:
- Oversee daily AR processes: billing cash applications collections and short pay resolution.
- Assigns work schedules and coverage reviewing work of AR analysts for accuracy and conformance to company policies and procedures.
- Daily credit review of orders on credit hold. Monitor evaluate and release or hold orders. Assist Manager with credit extension support.
- Provide weekly status updated on collection efforts and issues.
- Prepare in-depth customer account reconciliations and statements of account.
- Address and resolve customer inquiries and provide a high level of customer service.
- Review and resolve aged short payments/deductions.
- Review accounts on third party PO/payment processor portals (Ariba Direct Commerce etc.).
- Maintain aging report and assist with month end close activities.
- Provide training coaching and mentoring to junior staff.
- Identify and recommend areas for improvement.
- Assist Manager with projects as required filling in for Manager in his/her absence.
- Back-up for all positions: billing cash posting collection short payment/deduction resolution.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years in AR. Experience in Billing is a plus
- Excellent organization and multi-tasking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
