- In 1989 AMOREM opened the first free-standing inpatient Patient Care Unit (PCU) in North Carolina setting the standard for hospice care in the state.
- In 2024 we proudly expanded this legacy by opening the first-of-its-kind PCU in the High Country continuing our tradition of innovation and compassionate service.

Requirements
What You Bring to AMOREM:
- Current unrestricted North Carolina CNA license.
- Active CPR certification.
- Commitment to compassionate patient-centered care.
- Flexibility and a desire for professional growth.
- Hospice or palliative care experience preferred but not required. We will help you grow.
As a PCU CNA You Will:
- Provide quality end-of-life bedside care with compassion and respect.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living and ensure their comfort and dignity.
- Collaborate as part of a dynamic interdisciplinary team to deliver holistic care.
- Support families through education communication and presence.
- Follow individualized plans of care and document accurately.
- Leverage technology to enhance quality and efficiency.
- Maintain flexibility to meet patient and unit needs.
