Location: Onsite Dublin 1
Duration: Full-time long-term contract (initial 12 months with extension potential)
Start Date: ASAP
Daily Rate: Competitive (DOE)Overview:We are seeking an experienced Wintel Server Engineer / Administrator to join the onsite IT team at a public sector organisation in Dublin. The successful candidate will provide direct support to both onsite and remote users manage infrastructure and backups and ensure high standards of service delivery and security.Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first- and second-line support for IT users (onsite and remote)
- Manage and resolve tickets via the IT Helpdesk system
- Troubleshoot hardware software network and VPN issues
- Administer Microsoft 365 Exchange Online and Windows Server environments
- Manage Active Directory Group Policy and Endpoint Configuration Manager
- Maintain backup and replication systems (Veeam Veritas)
- Administer Cisco Umbrella Checkpoint firewalls and wireless infrastructure
- Liaise with external vendors and escalate technical issues as needed
Required Experience:
- Minimum 5 years in a similar Wintel/Infrastructure support role
- Strong knowledge of:
- Microsoft Windows Server (2019/2022)
- Active Directory & Group Policy
- Microsoft 365 & Exchange Online
- Windows 11 Enterprise
- Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM)
- Veeam Backup & Replication Veritas Backup Exec & DLO
- Cisco Umbrella Checkpoint firewalls wireless technologies
Desirable:
- Microsoft certification (MCSA or higher)
- Microsoft Azure certification
- ITIL or equivalent service delivery qualification
