Job Summary

Industrial Brothers is looking for a Co-Director to join our award-winning team on an exciting CG animated preschool television series. As part of our directorial team youll take the creative lead on alternate episodes bringing stories to life from script to final animation.

This role is perfect for a creative leader with a sharp eye for storytelling a strong sense of visual design and the ability to inspire teams to deliver their best work all while keeping preschool audiences at the heart of the story.

What Youll Do

Collaborate with the Executive Team Story Editors and Writers to bring the series vision to life while staying true to the bible and curriculum goals.
Direct scripts storyboards animatics design layout and animation to ensure visual and storytelling excellence.
Provide clear and constructive feedback to writers storyboard artists animatic editors and animators. Guiding timely revisions that balance creativity with production needs.
Partner with the Overseas Art Director to align character prop and environment design with storytelling needs.
Attend writer summits voice records storyboard launches and review sessions to ensure tone performance and pacing hit the mark.
Weigh in on casting for secondary characters and contribute to shaping authentic performances.
Work hand-in-hand with production to keep episodes on schedule and within budget.
Maintain strong communication with our overseas animation partners to ensure consistent quality from animatic to final delivery.

What Were Looking For

Exceptional storytelling skills with a strong sense of pacing composition and performance.
A thorough understanding of cinematography and 3D camera techniques.
Strong leadership and communication skills to guide cross-department teams.
Solid knowledge of animation pipelines and production workflows.
A strong visual sensibility ideally with experience directing preschool content.
Ability to provide actionable constructive feedback across multiple disciplines.
Proficiency in industry-standard tools (Storyboard Pro Adobe Creative Suite Toon Boom Harmony).
Flexible with working hours to accommodate meetings with overseas partners.

Qualifications

710 years of experience in 3D animation production with at least 2 years in a directorial or supervisory role.
Experience directing preschool or childrens content (highly preferred).
Strong track record working in fast-paced television production environments.
