Job Description

Job Summary
The Substitute Teacher will provide supervision instruction and classroom management for students in grades Pre-Kindergarten through Fifth Grade on an as-needed basis. This role requires implementing lesson plans maintaining a positive and safe learning environment and ensuring continuity of student learning.

Responsibilities

  • Implement lesson plans provided by classroom teachers.

  • Manage the classroom and ensure student safety and engagement.

  • Provide effective instruction that fosters learning and positive behavior.

  • Supervise students during instructional and non-instructional times.

  • Maintain a supportive respectful and inclusive classroom environment.

Requirements

  • Experience teaching or working with children preferred.

  • Ability to manage classrooms and follow lesson plans effectively.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Positive outlook patience and appreciation for the developmental needs of younger students.

  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic school environment.

  • Willingness to receive feedback and grow professionally.
