Job Title: Business Office Fellow

Job Summary
The Business Office Fellow is a one-year full-time role designed to provide hands-on experience in accounting and finance operations within a dynamic school environment. Reporting to the Assistant Controller this fellowship offers the opportunity to learn under experienced leadership support key financial processes and contribute to process improvements. The Fellow will gain exposure to all aspects of business office functions while developing professional skills in accounting communication and organizational management.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all tasks.

  • Support the month-end close process by preparing journal entries rollforwards and account reconciliations.

  • Assist with audit requests from external auditors.

  • Serve as a point of contact for budget managers within the business office.

  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and software implementations including AI-related projects.

  • Perform special projects and other assigned tasks as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting (required).

  • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and vlookups.

  • Strong communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage time effectively and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.

  • Flexible team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn new tasks.
