POSITION SPECIFICS
Penn State Human Resources (HR) is seeking a Lead Human Resources Assistant to provide outstanding support to the HR Data and Onboarding (D&O) team. This position will report to the Data & Onboarding Manager assisting with developing resources training materials and conducting training for team members and/or employees University wide. Additionally this position will be expected to be versatile and knowledgeable in all three of the D&O teams (Data Blue Data White & Onboarding) responsibilities; and will be assigned across the teams as needed depending on work volumes and staffing.
The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
Assisting new employees with the completion of Form I-9 and other related onboarding requirements in accordance with Federal/State laws and University policies.
Processing human resources and payroll forms in our Human Capital Management system Workday. Research issues of transactional errors that may arise. Ensure timely processing in accordance with payroll deadlines.
Identify and draft new knowledge base articles and review and edit existing articles as appropriate for use by both internal (HR) and external (University community) individuals.
Develop training materials for new employees and refresh trainings for existing employees. This includes outreach to other areas of the University to ensure a holistic training experience that incorporates University policies and procedures.
Work closely with Data & Onboarding leadership on special projects and represent D&O on university-wide project teams.
This position offers a flexible work arrangement that combines remote and on-campus work. Questions related to flexible work should be directed to the hiring manager during the interview process.
The successful candidate must demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail professionalism the ability to work independently as well as part of a team and a high degree of sensitivity in handling confidential information. Proficiency in Office365 suite is preferred. The successful candidate will also possess strong customer service and communication skills both oral and written; the ability to effectively learn and utilize new technologies; and the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
MINIMUM EDUCATION WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS
Associate Degree 4 years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted Required Certifications: NoneBACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES

SALARY & BENEFITS
