JOB SUMMARY:
The Qualitative Research intern will work alongside industry professionals to gain valuable knowledge skills and networking opportunities associated with the UDX Consumer Insights this position the intern will have the opportunity to learn about the qualitative field functions including coding and reporting qualitative data semi-structured and unstructured interviewing techniques observation research and training and oversight of the qualitative field team and projects.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists in conducting a variety semi-structured and open-ended field interviews and observations within the Universal theme parks utilizing handheld tablets camcorders and/or smart phone devices.
- Synthesize data into cohesive evidence-based narratives.
- Supports management in measuring and monitoring data quality including how field interviewers are trained to collect data and the coding process including monitoring intercoder reliability.
- Verifies and error checks Mystery Shop reports.
- Maintains interviewing schedules for a variety of foundational qualitative projects.
- Maintains bicoastal coding assignment calendars.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy procedures training and Team Member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- In pursuit of an Associate Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Sophomore or above.
- Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.
- A transcript is required upon application.
- Preferred majors include: Anthropology Sociology Market Research Psychology Liberal Arts or similar.
- Comfortability working in the field interviewing Guests.

- This internship will be an in-person experience based in our Orlando offices.
- Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university and must have a graduation date later than August 2026.
- Universal Orlando does not provide housing. Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
- All of our internships are paid and you may also qualify for housing financial assistance if applicable. The Recruiter will provide specific eligibility details.
