JOB SUMMARY:
The Operational Alignment & Compliance intern will assist with the collection of data and assigned studies providing supervised input to assigned documents and databases. Through collaboration with different departments the intern will learn about different aspects of the organization assist with document management practices and gain an understanding of how operational knowledge is used globally.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops an understanding of data and information used to support the parks globally.
- Develops an understanding of document data and change management systems.
- Gains an awareness of operational safety standards (ADA ASTM and Universal standards).
- Develops a basic understanding of the responsibilities necessary to create training and operational standard documents.
- Assists the department with collection of international park programming materials; creates spreadsheets and produces other documents in support of these collected materials and assist with the maintenance and upkeep of documents in their respective systems.
- Maintains databases by entering new data and migrating data in accordance with system processes. Validates data as applicable.
- Performs in-park research to include taking photos and measurements.
- Assists with the development of Standard Operating Procedures and other documents based on established internal standards.
- Assists with operational safety projects.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy procedures training and Team Member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- In pursuit of an Associate Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Sophomore or above.
- Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.
- A transcript is required upon application.
PREFERRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
- Preferred majors include: Hospitality Management Theme Park/Attractions Management Information Management Technical or Business Writing Business Administration or similar.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Microsoft SharePoint Adobe Suite and/or Microsoft Visio.
- Prior experience in data management preferred.
- Prior experience in theme parks preferred.

- This internship will be an in-person experience based in our Orlando offices.
- Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university and must have a graduation date later than August 2026.
- Universal Orlando does not provide housing. Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
