This is a brilliant opportunity to work as part of the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project. The alliance work across the project to integrate and coordinate the delivery of all main Mechanical Electrical Heating Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (MEH) cabling and associated support services. This innovative approach will help different contractors work as a single entity to deliver the complex installation of cabling and pipework in the power stations vast network of rooms.

The role

As a Records Technician youll be at the heart of one of the UKs most ambitious nuclear energy projects. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the success of Hinkley Point C by ensuring the integrity and compliance of lifetime quality records (LTQRs) essential documentation that supports the safe construction and operation of the plant.

Youll be joining a high-performing multi-disciplinary team that has already made a significant impact submitting over 14000 records since January. With access to experienced professionals and a culture of continuous learning youll gain exposure to electrical mechanical and civil engineering disciplines setting you up for long-term career growth.

Day-to-day youll

  • Compile review and submit LTQR deliverables to ensure compliance with project requirements
  • Manage the distribution and configuration control of both electronic and hard copy records
  • Prepare data reports on document status for the LTQR Manager
  • Assist with the production of LTQR handover packs
  • Support Area LTQR Coordinators to ensure timely and accurate submission of work package records

This is a full-time role based atHinkley Point C nearBridgwater Somerset working37 hours per week. This role offers two days of remote working per week with an initial commitment to five days in the office to accommodate potential future changes. You may also be required to attend site to manage physical records as project needs evolve.

Essential experience of the Records Technician:

  • Strong IT skills and experience with electronic document management systems (EDMS)
  • Proven experience in EDMS automation and LTQR control
  • Experience working on major projects
  • Exposure to nuclear industry practices (beneficial)

Qualifications for the Records Technician:

  • CITB and/or MAPS certification may be required
  • Mechanical qualifications or relevant training would be advantageous
  • Discipline-specific qualification (preferred)

Security Clearance
