Job Description

Universal Destinations & Experiences Internship Program:

JOB SUMMARY:

In this internship our intern will play a crucial part in ensuring our Team Members stay informed inspired and connected. Our intern can expect to develop editorial content create informational graphics write operational communication manage projects involving multi-channel support and identify areas of growth for our internal communications function.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with planning and executing editorial and informational content managing multiple communications calendars to ensure the timely delivery of news and updates.
  • Research relevant Team Member and company stories finding new and unique ways to approach storytelling.
  • Draft editorial and informational content for internal communications channels including company intranet internal email and digital screens. Support the planning and execution of internal and external campaigns and initiatives applying a Team Member-first lens to content.
  • Support major company milestones on our internal channels. Develop unique ideas to recognize and celebrate Team Members and work with the Senior Specialist to execute them.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for story development and approval. Organize content shoots including exploratory calls Team Member interviews and photo capture.
  • Create eye-catching graphics using design tools (Canva Adobe Creative Suite) for back-of-house digital screens to support campaigns.
  • Participate in brainstorms content planning discussions weekly look-ahead meetings and scheduled stakeholder calls.
  • Develop a SWOT analysis for Universal Orlando Internal Communications and provide recommendations for enhancements and improved efficiencies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • In pursuit of an Associate Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Sophomore or above.
  • Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.
  • A transcript is required upon application.
  • Strong writing and proofreading skills detail oriented.
  • Comfortable writing long medium and short-form content.
  • Capable of prioritizing competing requests and deadlines.
  • Creative thinking and the ability to approach ideas from multiple lenses.

PREFERRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

  • Preferred majors include: Communications Advertising Telecommunications Journalism English Public Relations Marketing or similar.
  • Strong eye for visual content including photography and graphic design.
  • Experience with Adobe Suite Canva Airtable Workfront and SharePoint (or other comparable tools).

  • This internship will be an in-person experience based in our Orlando offices.
  • Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university and must have a graduation date later than August 2026.
  • Universal Orlando does not provide housing. Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
  • All of our internships are paid and you may also qualify for housing financial assistance if applicable. The Recruiter will provide specific eligibility details.
