Job Summary

Key Responsibilities:

Read and interpret drawings and site documentation accurately
Set up and operate trench boxes drag boxes and manhole boxes
Use pipe lasers to lay Concrete Clay and Plastic Pipes of all sizes ensuring correct bedding surround and testing
Manage ground water and set up appropriate pumps for site conditions
Correctly backfill trenches and bench manholes
Work safely around live services applying service avoidance techniques
Carry out external works: kerbs edgings slabs block paving and hard/soft landscaping
Apply detailed knowledge of materials and products for underground drainage road formation kerbing slab laying block paving and external works
Complete daily pre-start plant safety inspections and maintenance checks reporting any issues promptly to site management

Essential Requirements:

5 years experience in skilled groundworks drainage and external works
Competent in operating plant including dumpers rollers and telehandlers (CPCS/NPORS tickets preferred)
Strong knowledge of underground drainage systems road formation and first-stage groundworks
Experienced working as part of a team or gang
Reliable punctual and proactive
