Job Summary

Regulatory Specialist Health

  • Applies regulatory experience to provide guidance relating to TCPA and FCC regulations on marketing and communication materials.
  • Reviews and approves Medicare Advantage / PDP / Medicare Supplement and ACA marketing and communications materials and provides guidance on Medicare Advantage Medicare Supplement and ACA marketing regulations.
  • Provides executive summaries for proposed regulatory rules.
  • Works with other areas of the organization on the development and implementation of process and system changes to continually meet the obligations and initiatives of a robust compliance program.
  • Assists with the development of written policies and procedures regarding compliance with local state and federal regulations and guidelines.
  • Assists internal business units with responding to carrier audits and related corrective action plans.
  • Assists with internal audits and compliance monitoring.
  • Coordinates and assists with the handling of insurance agent complaints.
  • Assists with the development and implementation of risk assessments.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or 4 years experience with health insurance or similar.
  • 3 years experience with health insurance benefits and/or operations.
  • Knowledge of Medicare Advantage PDP or MedSupp products.
  • Familiarity with Medicare Communications and Marketing Guidelines (MCMG).
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to organize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Ability to analyze data reports.
  • PC proficiency to include Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint
  • 10-15% travel required
  • This is an in-office position: 5 days in office (Dallas TX).


Preferred Job Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Telephone Consumer Protection Act
  • Experience with Federal Communications Commission
  • Experience in state or federal government specifically in insurance
  • Familiarity with federal rulemaking process
  • Experience with carrier audits and corrective action plans
